How to naturally reduce hypertension

Garlic contains various vitamins such as vitamins B and C, which are required by the body to remain healthy and strong. Clinical studies have established that vitamin B12 is believed to be a vitamin that is beneficial in lowering blood pressure. Unfortunately, B12 is one of the B vitamins in the garlic. However, some believe food containing a substance known as inluins – such as garlic – helpful in stimulating the growth of specific bacteria known as Lactobacillus in the colon. These bacteria produce B12 and can provide the body with a part of the vitamins.

However, because the vitamin B12 to be used as a reliable treatment for the control of hypertension, it has to be taken in supplement form or from food sources that are rich in Vitamin B12.

How Vitamin B12 helps reduce blood pressure? Vitamin B12, also known as folate or folic acid, plays a key role in the formation of red blood cells. It is believed to help lower blood pressure by helping blood vessels relax, improve circulation and decrease homocysteine levels.

Homocysteine is an amino acid which exists in the blood. It is a toxic waste product that is created during cellular metabolism. If homocysteine levels become too high (which could be related to poor diet or genetics), the researchers believe it can damage the inner lining of arteries and promote blood clot formation. Elevated Homocysteine is also linked to a higher risk of stroke, peripheral vascular disease and coronary heart disease.

Various studies have been conducted to determine the blood pressure lowering effects of folic acid taken in supplement form. In a small study involved 24 smokers of cigarettes, folic acid supplements have been found to significantly reduce blood pressure in these individuals.

Another study conducted on young women found that those receiving a minimum of 1,000 micrograms of B12 daily, either from their diets or by taking supplements, are less likely to develop hypertension; decrease the risk by more than 45%.

Although researchers have already concluded that a diet rich in folic acid can lower blood pressure, this was the first study to show that high intake of folic acid can reduce the risk of developing hypertension. How can you take vitamin B12

? Vitamin B12 is found naturally in green leafy vegetables, lentils and citrus fruits. It can also be found in other food sources, including dairy products, eggs, fish, beef, pork and organ meats (especially kidney and liver). Some foods are also fortified with folic acid, including some breads and cereals.

Usually people who have a daily diet rich in folic acid supplements do not require. However, about 10-30% of older people (65 and over) may not be able to properly absorb vitamin B12 from food and supplements will require.

For those who are interested in taking supplements, vitamin B12 can be found as part of a multivitamin supplement or as an individual. The supplements are usually in the form of tablets or capsules, and are taken daily. Before taking supplements should read all product instructions and talk to your doctor about the recommended dose to treat high blood pressure.

B12 is safe? Vitamin B12 is usually safe and non-toxic when ingested recommended amount. That said, folic acid may cause side effects in some people and interact with certain medications (IE certain antibiotics, chemotherapy drugs, anti-ulcer, etc.) Additionally, you should not take vitamin B complex one from itself for a prolonged period of time, as this can lead to an imbalance in the other B vitamins your body requires essential.

Thus, when taking B12 supplements to manage blood pressure, should be supervised by a health care provider.
