Signs and symptoms of heart attack

While you may be aware of the most common signs of heart attack, there are differences between men and women. In addition, there are also less obvious, but equally important symptom to be aware of.

The most common symptom of a heart attack for men and women is persistent chest pain or pressure that does not disappear when you sit or rest. If this is experienced, it needed emergency aid. Even if there is an attack, this could be a symptom of heart disease or other serious problems.

Other symptoms of a heart attack include pain that radiates through your shoulders, back, arms, or jaw. Less intense chest pain accompanied by shortness of breath, dizziness, nausea, or should be also taken seriously. These may be signs of a heart attack or something, but it is better to find out immediately.

Women can have other symptoms normally not associated with a heart attack until recently. Women are more likely to experience warning signs 'mild', such as shortness of breath, dizziness, anxiety, fatigue, and cold sweats. If you have diabetes, follow your doctor's recommendations for appropriate care and monitor your blood sugar levels regularly.

If you are in a situation where you experience signs of heart attack or warning signs of heart disease, be sure to accurately describe all the symptoms. Some people try to appear "tough" and minimize their symptoms. Others may feel that you are a bother or exaggerating the symptoms, especially if they seem mild. However, if your caregivers do not have a picture of symptoms, they may not be able to effectively diagnose your condition.

This is especially true early warning signs and symptoms. It is much better to address heart disease as soon as possible, rather than finding them needed a quadruple bypass emergency. Of course, genetics plays a role, but this is even more reason to closely monitor your health and any potential warning sign.

When you take care of your health, you can significantly reduce your chances of suffering a heart attack or other coronary diseases.
