Blood pressure control is the easiest thing to do, provided you know the fundamentals. It has to do more with food and drinking habits.

Look in the mirror. Not only see your face. Look at the whole figure. There is your future. How long do you think your body can go on accepting all things, without applying any thought, just for taste-buds like that? You know that overweight people have a higher chance of suffering from a stroke? You check the weight at regular intervals?

When you saw the weighing machine marking a fat gain of 16 pounds over a period of two months, simply ignore? You should be shocked into action. The least you can do is find out what your weight is now and what should be your weight.

Have to be careful what you eat, because it is linked directly and proportionately with blood pressure. I agree that "we must be honest with salt", but this does not hold true for you. It must drastically reduce salt intake before your doctor tells you – no more salt. Avoid salty foods, and fried. Adopt a diet that is low in saturated fat.

But if you think you can not do everything at once, reduce the intake of alcohol. Just take a drink a day. If you are already in the care of close family doctor, please follow the instructions sincerely. Let there be no holidays for the medicine and please keep sufficient stock in advance. If your doctor has called this Sunday for a check, then make sure you get there this Sunday itself and not, following months.

Doctor also must have given some guidance on exercise program that is appropriate for you, such as walking in the morning, light stretching exercises or light aerobics. Follow strict schedule. Your doctor treats hundreds of patients like you every day. He has practical wisdom about hypertension, than you. Go as advice and understand its treatments.

Regular blood pressure check is a must. You need to have such an arrangement at home. Charts regular checks will greatly help your doctor to treat you. All members of your family, your wife and your children go to check with you even if they do not have this condition.

If you take basic precautions to control your diet and adequate exercise – keep aside all imaginary worries and live a normal life, relaxed.
